It is a shade tolerant perennial clover seed that does especially well on trails, shaded woods, or openings. It contains 5 different clovers and some cold hearty alfalfa, along with a small percentage of brassicas as a cover crop. These annuals provide protection from over grazing and additional forage during the first season while the perennials become established. The following years you will have clover and alfalfa in your plot as the annuals have done their job and will not re-grow.
